Coaching is a leadership tool that can be leveraged to facilitate equity.

Equity-centered coaching practices improve the emotional and psychological safety of any business, coaching practice, organization, or community.

The Exchange offers affordable and community-oriented professional learning experiences that explore fundamental skills and concepts at the intersections of coaching, leadership, and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion).

Because a multifaceted approach with various touch points and levels of support is the best way to navigate the complexities of DEI work, coaching, and leadership, members of The Exchange have access to:

  • Continuous learning and growth: Timely and relevant workshops that explore cutting-edge practices, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to drive transformative coaching experiences.

  • Support around identity issues and power dynamics: Access to affinity groups offering safe spaces for open and authentic DEI-related dialog.

  • Skill development: Practical skills and coaching approaches are refined during coaching clinics to ensure alignment with equity-centered practices.

  • Community: Members share insights, collaborate on initiatives, and draw inspiration from a diverse community of coaches and leaders who are gathering around values of equity and anti-oppression, the desire to do meaningful work, and a desire to show up and support each other.

Our social climate is in crisis and entrepreneurs and leaders are navigating problems that require deep insight, collaborative exploration, and advice and support from people who share their values.

When people share the values of inclusion, equity, liberation, and anti-oppression, the diversity that exists between them serves to enhance the experiences that we share together.

That means that the diversity in our communities' identities, socio-economic statuses, niches, professions, religions, and educational backgrounds creates unique experiences and opportunities for learning, sharing, and deepening our humanity because we share similar expressions of our values.

The mission of The Exchange is to create a world where every coaching interaction becomes a force for positive change, empowering individuals from all walks of life to thrive.

It’s called “The Exchange” because when we exchange ideas, innovative approaches, and fresh ways of thinking, we elevate our coaching practices to new heights.

We have built an incredible community of leaders, coaches, scholars, change agents, and students of life who understand that coaching isn’t just about pop-culture life hacking… It is about facilitating beautiful consented transformations in people, communities, organizations, teams, and relationships.

And we are going to be an example of how this work can be done equitably, safely, and in ways that ensure that clients maintain their agency and self-determination.
